Description

There is no such thing as the perfect longboard, but if there was this would be darn close. Donald’s “all-rounder”. This board was designed with more focus on noseriding than the DT-1. With the ability to do it all. Turn, trim, noseride, you name it the DT-2 can do it. Working in waves from ankle high to well overhead, the DT-2 can be ridden and enjoyed in all conditions. This board could easily be a one-board quiver or just a trusty old friend you pull out when you want a board you know you can trust.

Love the performance, not the finish

"So I’ve surfed my DT-2 6 times now. Paddles great, trims great, actually pretty fast board. I’m using 6. 5” center fin and 3. 75” bites and I’m happy with the performance. I ride my bike to the beach so I have racks with foam wrapped in 2mm tape to dampen the board from bumping when I ride. Today I noticed that the paint finish on the rail of the board is rubbing off. It’s cosmetic but still surprised that the blue finish would just rub off from laying in the rack. Now I’m considering a thin layer of resin to protect the rail but wanted you to know this for potential improvements on the finish of these tufflite boards."

Great all around LB for grovel to bigger stuff. . .

"I really like how rounded pins feel in the face on a drop, but they are not the best pick for small surf. The 10'0" DT2 works great and with that length pickups up small stuff well and I'm 215lb. I have been long boarding since the resurgence of it in the 90's and I can say this had been my favorite LB. I prefer with (2) 3. 75" and a 6" (pivot style), it appears to turn easer than with a 6" Greenough sweepy fin. It also feels great on a lazy day with 9. 5" California classic style fine as well. This board is a quiver killer for LBs for sure."

"Fantastic board with plenty of float and speed, tuflite will last forever."

Responsive and predictable

"I stepped down from an 11ft board to the 10ft DT-2. This feels so much more responsive and easy to turn. The non-beveled bottom gives it a stable and predictable ride. Note that like many Surftech listings the dimensions on the board don't exactly match those shown on the website - see photo."
